The makeup comes off And you turn into the you But what is the you that you seek? What are you but a charater? A man seeking himself But can only take on personalities That aren't his own The infamous nothing That's all you can be

In this lyric I was trying to depict a character that didn't have his own
personality. He was so absorbed in his acting career that he had nothing. He
was famous, and rich, but nobody liked him because there was no real him. He
was nothing inside. In some of the lines I was trying to depict characters
that he played.
