My Music Page-Guitarists
These are the guitarists that influenced me to play guitar, and improve myself over the years

Kirk Hammet is my top influential guitarist. He has played for Metallica for, basically, his whole career, and has done a beautiful job at being the lead guitarist for one of the most influential bands in heavy metal history. Kirk was born in El Sobrante, in the East Bay area, on November 18, 1962. His first interest in music was peaked by his brother, Rick, and his music collection. He listened to Led Zeppelin, UFO, and Jimi Hendrix. There were many more, but Kirk then started to play the guitar when he was 15 and bought himself a Marshall amp, and a Gibson. He co-formed his first band Exodus, and was with them for a while until he recieved a call from Metallica in April 1983. Metallica was in the process of firing my next influential guitarist, Dave Mustaine, and they wanted Kirk to audition. Kirk made the audition and hasn't left Metallica since. He is the most influential guitarist in my life because Metallica, and more or less Kirk's vast array of guitar riffs led me to play guitar and strive to play as well as him. At 43 years old, Kirk is still playing and touring with Metallica. His music has inspired me to play guitar and his perfect soloing and beautifully maneuvered guitar riffs are a pedestal that I could only dream of reaching.

Dave Mustaine, after being kicked out of Metallica, was the all powerful leader of Megadeth. He is my second most influential guitarist. His guitar riffs and solos bring a powerful punch to Megadeth, and even some old Metallica songs reflect Dave's work. Such songs as The Four Horsemen by Metallica reflect Dave's work. Mustaine grew up in the suburbs of South California. He lived in a broken home with his mother who left him to be with aunts and uncles who didn't support his interest in music and who constantly put him down for having interest in heavy metal. He eventually started Metallica with James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, but in 1983 he was kicked out for alleged substance abuse. Soon after being kicked out of Metallica, Dave started another quintet band called Megadeth. The only member that Dave kept through the years was David Ellefson. Soon they released their first album, and it did very well and led to them signing with major record label, Capitol Records. As the bands success began to increase so did Dave's drug abuse. Rumors say that he fired band members Chris Poland and Samuelson because of his addictions to heroin. In early 1990, he was arrested for driving under the influence and checked into a rehabilitation center. Once he got out of rehab, he was sober, and released another album that went platinum. Then during a break from touring, Dave sustained a serious injury in January 2002. He was diagnosed with radial nueropathy, a condition preventing him from playing the guitar. This caused the breakup of Megadeth in April of 2002. Dave Mustaine is a GREAT guitarist. He has played with some of the greatest in the world, and still has come out on top. His solos and riffs are amazing to say the least and his heavy metal is something I won't soon forget.

Jimmy Page was born on January 9th, 1944 in Middlesex, England. He began learning gxcgduitar when he was 12. He kept playing and by the age of 14 he was on the search for the stars talent scout show. Soon he had his first recording called "Diamonds" that went to number 1 on the singles charts in 1963. He joined a band called the Yardbirds, and the lineup changed a bit before they had their Led Zeppelin lineup. The Yardbirds, being on tour, had some conflicts but soon changed their name to Led Zeppelin while on tour. Jimmy Page is now working on remastering all of the old recordings from Led Zeppelin, who broke up in 1980. Jimmy Page is a very influential guitar player to me. All of his music enthralls me and I love playing anything and everything that he has done. His music sounds good but also is challenging to play. Some of my favorite songs by Jimmy are Stairway To Heaven and The Battle for Evermore.

For now, this is all the guitarists that I will post, but there will be more soon
